This software tool will enable you to send a magic packet (WOL) to a remote PC and let it power up.
This is an Wake on LAN (WOL) utility that allows you to power up remote PCs by sending them a magic (WOL) network packet. This utility will retrieve MAC addresses of remote PCs and thus when you ask a remote PC to wake up you do not need to specify the MAC address explicitly. The program is able to fall back on four MAC detection mechanisms. This can easily be done over an enterprise LAN spanning many domains, workgroups and multiple subnets. One or multiple remote PCs can be powered up in a single operation. While this is convenient, you wake a PC up to get something done. This utility will let you do that too. You can create Wake on LAN tasks and schedule them for automatic execution.
You can use unicast, directed broadcast, local subnet or Internet transmission methods, or all of them at the same time. That will ensure your wakeup call does not get lost, these wake up calls will certainly reach your target(s) without a problem. This tool lets you create WOL tasks, configure their PC lists and WOL settings, and schedule them for one-time execution on a defined date/time. You could specify recurring execution. An interface makes it all easy to get things done. The interface is well laid out, most IT types should be able to start using it. The interface is well designed but will take you some time to be completely familiar. All scheduled tasks can be managed through this interface. This is a very good product. If there is a need, this could be an option for you to adopt.
